About the Encyclopedia This multimedia collection, available on CD-ROM, Web, and e-Book versions, was produced after extensive archaeological research. It was written in Spanish and translated into English, French, and German. The overall production of the audiovisual material includes both written and oral narrative with accompanying videos, photos, animations, interactive applications and games. Each individual CD covers a series of approximately forty archaeological pieces, selected from the Armella Foundation's collection, which consists of 3,600 pieces under custody granted by the Government of Mexico. Indeed, the multimedia collection may be viewed as a portable virtual exhibition with a wide variety of contents. The Encyclopedia’s unique feature is that it can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The CDs do not require any special program, and the audiovisual material runs on both PCs and Mac computers, on a full screen layout. The result of diverse archeological research, each groundbreaking set is the ideal source of information for students, teachers, museums and librarians.
