The Collection

Collecting, as a route of education, is exemplified in this collection of Pre-Columbian Mesoamerican pottery, brought together over a period of more than forty years with the aim to investigate, study, restore and learn about the diverse cultures, their technology, manufacture, design, trade, worship and rituals. In the latter especially the pottery plays an important part. The pottery is a tradition preserved in objects and customs, admired by Mexican society up to the present day.
